About Just D.U.M.B. Productions

Just Don’t Underestimate My Brain Productions [Just D.U.M.B. Productions] will create lasting social and educational change.  It is currently a website/blog and will expand into an interactive program and supplemental curriculum founded on the premise that media, entertainment, and pop culture can be used to enhance teaching in the classroom and develop social skills and interaction outside of the classroom.

Just D.U.M.B. Productions works within schools to revitalize current teaching methods for the 21st century by analyzing a variety of topics and “real life” situations mirrored in films, online media and social networks to create academic success through increased student participation and stronger classroom communities.  The program aims not only to teach academics but also social awareness.  Understanding the purpose and life application of a lesson is essential in attaining and retaining knowledge.  “Just Don’t Underestimate My Brain,” is more than a statement. It is a movement of teachers and students recognizing the idea that learning is an ongoing process and that knowledge can be often be attained in the places we least expect.
